Alison Carmichael was thrown with extreme prejudice into the wall. The robotic creature’s metal tentacles swirled around its semi-organic face, which scrunched-up in pure unadulterated sadism as it slowly slid its various appendages towards the now unconscious body of Danny Callahan.
Allison Carmichael desperately leapt at the creature, but was thrown back again. The creature’s head turned upwards subtly as if to mock her before going back to beating the shit out of Danny. “Crap,” Allison thought. “This isn’t going well.”
Danny woke up mid-choke and punched the creature in the face, knocking it off-balance. It steadied itself with one of its tendrils, which raked across Alison’s wall and knocked off her Random Dude Poster. Alison howled in frustration like a small dog being denied food. Danny Callahan writhed in pain as life slowly began to leave his body. “TARGET ACQUIRED. FURTHER INSTRUCTION REQUESTED,” the creature whirred pleasantly. It stopped for a split second, presumably going about requesting further instruction, and Allison proceeded to hit it with a plant pot. The remains of the now-deceased plant splattered everywhere, causing the creature to make a discontented “vhwirrrr” sound before shutting off. Allison pulled a woozy Danny off the floor and the two of them sauntered aggressively out of the house. In Allison’s room, the robot started itself up again, and Allison saw in her peripheral vision the shadow of a distant tendril zipping down the hallway. “The same goddamn day,” Allison thought, as she usually did while being pursued by this specific robot at this specific time.
